The Land Transportation Office-9 is now preparing for the distribution of the second batch of cards on Pantawid Pasada, a fuel subsidy program of President Noynoy Aquino for operators and drivers of public utility jeepneys nationwide.

LTO-9 Director Aminola P. Abaton disclosed that he has received the second batch of Pantawid Pasada cards totalling 1,111 on the third week of December. Each card has a load of P 1,150 for fuel.

Abaton advised the PUJ drivers  and operators to bring their identification paper to the nearest LTO9 district office in the region to get the Pantawid Pasada cards.

The first batch of Pantawid Pasada cards distributed  last year totalled 1,869.       LTO-9 ranks No. 3 in the full distribution of the cards to beneficiaries nationwide.

Meanwhile, Abaton disclosed that he has installed Noel Villanueva as the new chief of the LTO in Pagadian City vice Emmanuel Barretto who retired from the service last December 24, 2011.

In a related development, Abaton announced that the LTO Bongao Extension Office is now devolved to the Land Transportation Office- Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao last year under Executive Order  435. — Allen Abastillas
