Zambo Sur police pool P110,000 for ‘Sendong’ victims PDF Print E-mail

Aside from their law enforcing job in which they risk their lives as they combat lawnessness and criminalities policemen of the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office are always ready to respond to the call for assistance during natural and man-made calamities.

Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Director Sr. Supt. Jose Bayani L.  Gucela disclosed that policemen under him voluntarily shared P150 each from their  Christmas bonus of P 10,000 last December for the victims of Typhoon Sendong that killed thousands of people and destroyed billions worth of  properties in iligan City and Cagayan de Oro City.

Gucela said the contribution from the policemen totalled P110,000. The Zamboanga del Sur police command continues to receive donations and relief goods from good people in the province. All will soon be turned over to the two cities.

Gucela also said that his men have set aside P 17,000. for the two policemen in Iligan City Police Office who were also victims of Typhoon Sendong.
