City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo yesterday disclosed that investigators have already gathered information that would lead to the identity of one of the suspects who shot and wounded a Taiwanese businessman in Baliwasan Seaside last week.

The police have also come up with a cartographic sketch of the gunman who shot the victim several times.

Deocampo however said that the identity of the suspect has been withheld for further investigation as all of the three are still at large.

The police chief said the identity of one of the suspects was uncovered after thorough sleuthing.

Police operatives are also conducting follow-up operations outside the city after receiving a report that the assailants have already left the city after the incident.

Deocampo added that they are concentrating on business rivalry as the motive behind the shooting after gathering information and evidence.

Investigators have ruled out abduction or kidnapping as a motive.

To recall, Jung Fa Yeh Lai, 30, owner of an exporter and importer of a marine product company, was shot and wounded by three men who tried to seize him while he and his live-in-partner were inside their shop.
