The dead woman whose body was found inside a luggage at the parking lot of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 2 last Wednesday was identified as a native of Patikul, Sulu.

Pasay chief of police Sr. Supt Melchor Reyes identified the victim as Nepz Aly Bahgin, 20, from Patikul Sulu, who had arrived last Tuesday from Bahrain.
Reyes said that the body was identified and retrieved by her family.

Police investigators are currently checking with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) if Bahgin was a registered Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW).

According to Reyes, Bahgin’s body has no external injuries except for contusions in the face and strangulation marks in the neck.

Reyes added that the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) has yet to release the results of the autopsy conducted on the cadaver.

The corpse was neatly stuffed in fetal position inside a brown suitcase measuring 36 inches long, 18 inches wide, and about a foot deep. The name “Nepz Aly Bahgin” was found in it.

The murder was discovered by a lady security guard patrolling the airport parking lot.

Meanwhile, Pasay Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) head Chief Insp. Joey Goforth said they were still investigating the murder.

CIDG chief said the victim’s killers had conspicuously placed the suitcase in the area of the parking lot not covered by surveillance cameras.

“We are dealing here with a person or group of persons who knew the area,” Goforth said.

About two hours after Bahgin’s body was found, police also found a male corpse stuffed inside a drum on Tolentino Street, also in Pasay.
The man, who had tattoos in his body, has remained unidentified.
