PNP implements ‘Clean and Green’ PDF Print E-mail

The Philippine National Police will implement its “Clean and Green” program in all police stations nationwide.

Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office PNP Ladies Club Adviser Marissa V. Gucela disclosed that she and Police Regional Office-9 PNP Ladies Club President Carla A. Ochotorena attended a meeting in Camp Crame presided by National Adviser Dr. Noami Bartolome last January 9 regarding the PNP “Clean and Green” program.

Mrs. Gucela said the program is all about planting of organic vegetables in all police camps nationwide by policemen to stay healthy by eating organic vegetables.

She said that all policemen were directed to implement the program to plant organic vegetables. They were also  advised not to plant anymore ornamental plants and not to use syntethic fertilizer which causes harm and damage to the land.

Gucela explained that planting organic vegetables is a big help for a person’s health because it is nutritious and safe for the body system.
The planting of vegetables will also help policemen in their daily food consumption.

Meanwhile, Gucela and husband Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Director Sr. Supt.  Jose Bayani L. Gucela will  also conduct  a feeding program  for school childrens at Camp Abelon in Pagadian. —  Allen Abastillas
