The fielding by the Nacionalista Party of a complete line-up in Zamboanga on 2013 mid-term election depends on District 2 congressman Erbie Fabian.

Thus, NP head Sen. Manny Villar said yesterday in radio public affairs program Buenas Dias Zamboanga anchored by Al Alhabshi on 91.5 wild fm.

The senator said the NP is fielding a senatorial and local line up in 2013. He said this was seriously considered during their meeting abroad last week.

“For Zamboanga, it depends with our chairman Congressman Erbie Fabian. The NP will fully support Cong. Fabian in whatever he thinks is good for the party,” Villar said.

“Right now, Cong. Fabian has said nothing yet about a possible fielding of a complete line up. The party will respect whatever his decisions,” Villar said.

While he has yet to formally announce his plans for 2013, Fabian is believed to be running for mayor with the NP.

Sen. Villar confirmed that he is taking a rest in 2013 but laughed off the query if another villar is running for senator.

“Let us see. It depends,” Villar replied when asked if he is making a comeback in 2016.

He said while taking a rest from politics, he will pour his attention on his program for the overseas Filipino workers and other programs that are of great help to the people.

Villar is sitting as senator-judge in the impeachment trial of Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona.

“I have not made up my mind yet. I will base my decision on the evidence presented before us. That I can assure the Filipino people,” Villar said.

Villar also assured that he will not allow the ongoing impeachment trial to disrupt his work as a legislator.

“I will make sure that I have time to attend to the other works pending in the Senate,” Villar said even as he hoped that the other senators could also attend to the bills pending before their respective committees.
