Bold robbers broke into the armory of the PNP’s 9th Regional Supply Accountable Office (RSAO) at Camp Batalla and ransacked several high powered rifles and handguns.

The robbery was discovered around 2:45 p.m. last Thursday.

A police report disclosed that Robin Almazan, RSAO chief, discovered the robbery after he found the padlock of the door to the storage room of the office destroyed.

During ocular investigation, police investigators discovered the robbers took a 90 recoiless rifle, one M14, two M16 rifles and several .45 caliber pistols and .38 cal. revolvers.

Police said the storage room was last opened sometime in October last year by Almazan, SPO4 Rodolfo Salazar and SPO1 Melvin Morjente.
Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) lifted some fingerprints in the storage room.

Newsmen tried to get some statemens from RSAO personnel yesterday but no one was available.

RSAO is located at the interior part of Camp Batalla near the Highway Patrol Group office.

Camp Batalla has been implementing a very strict rule in which civilians are not allowed inside without any official transaction.
