Man hacked dead by nephew PDF Print E-mail

A man was hacked to death by his nephew over a land dispute at Sitio Mantayabas, Baluno, this city last Saturday afternoon.

Police identified the fatality as Erenio Isik. He was hacked by Roberto Isik y Francisco, 41, married.

Initial investigation showed that Roberto was at his garden near their house around 4:45 p.m. when Erenio arrived and confronted him regarding their land dispute.

The confrontation turned into a heated argument that led to the hacking. Roberto grabbed a scythe and hacked Erenio several times in the different parts of the body.

Erenio sustained multiple hack wounds in the body and died on the spot.

Roberto was arrested by barangay officials and was taken to the police station.

The body was brought to the Villa Funeral Parlor for post mortem examination.
