Councilor Rogelio “Gerky” Valesco, Jr. is promoting “Adventure with Nature” after visiting Victoria Adventure Park in Barangay Victoria in the city’s east coast.

Valesco was met by barangay officials of Victoria headed by Feliciano “Nonoy” Revillas, who was a former colleague as young leaders of the Pag-Asa Youth Movement (PYM).

“Victoria has a lot to offer. It’s like you are visiting a one-stop shop for adventure.  Fitness buffs and adventure enthusiasts particularly those who are earnest in trekking or simply finding or spending time with nature,” Valesco said.

He said he sees great tourism potentials for Victoria as he offered many suggestions and plans to Revillas.

On the other hand,  Revillas said personally he is very happy to be working again side by side with a former colleague when they were touted as youth leaders during the late 80s.

“Councilor Valesco is one person who is abound with good ideas, and we took note of his suggestions in every detail to help make Victoria truly one of the vital tourist destinations in our city,” Revillas said.

Valesco said whether one would like to scale heights thru wall climbing, or take the challenge to pass the labyrynths of the Victoria caves, or just take refreshing dip on an afternoon by water tubing, Victoria has these adventures.

The young legislator appealed that children should balance their time in playing computer games and spending time with the internet, to also take opportunity to immerse with nature in that manner children will appreciate the wonders of Mother Nature.

“We are glad that Councilor Valesco has a lot of observations and they are actually highly relevant,” said Kagawad Rose Ramillano.

Revillas also informed that Valesco will also help in the packaging of Victoria Adventure Park. “He (Valesco) came here along with some media friends from Skycable and we are pleased with the initial extent of his efforts. — ADL
