Carpenter killed, student hurt in fresh gun attack PDF Print E-mail

A carpenter was killed while a high school student was wounded in a gun attack at Zone 3, Cawit last Thursday night.

Killed was Alvin Blando y Que, 34, married. Wounded was Joseph Maquiling y Antonio, 17, a student of the Ayala National High School.
Police identified one of the suspects as a certain Dakak Daris.

A police report disclosed that Blando was standing at the roadside around 7:15 p.m. when Daris and his companion aboard a motorcycle appeared and opened fire on him several times.

Maquiling who just came out of their house was also hit by two of the bullets.

The gunmen sped away after the incident while the victims were rushed to the hospital.

Maquiling sustained two bullet wounds in the stomach and arm while Blando was shot in the chest. Both were taken to the Brent Hospital.

Blando was later transferred to the Zamboanga City Medical Center where he expired while undergoing treatment.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo said Ayala policemen have launched manhunt operations against the perpetrators. — Dan Toribio Jr.
