A 60-year-old man was shot dead by one of three men at Sitio Upper Balacacas, Patalon last Friday morning.

Police identified the fatality as Menardo Macaso y Atilano of Sitio Malandi. He sustained multiple pellet wounds in the body and died on the spot.

A police report disclosed that Macaso was guiding Baser Mursalaun, who was together with three companions, as he wanted to buy the lot of Zenaida Rojas. While they were walking towards the lot amid bushes, they heard a gunfire coming from a secluded place and saw Macaso collapsed on the ground.
Mursalaun and his three companions ran away to save their lives.

Residents told the police that after the gun attack they saw Russel Bucoy carrying an improvised shotgun with three companions walking away from the crime scene and going into inner  part of the said place.

Macaso’s body was brought to a funeral parlor for post mortem examination while the police have readied charges against the suspects.— Dan Toribio Jr.
