Pedicab driver, daughter stabbed Print

A pedicab driver and his daughter were stabbed and wounded outside their house in Lower Cabatangan last Thursday night.

The victims were identified as Valtazar Hiple y Villanueva, 58, married and Liezel Hiple y Tunacao, 25, single. The father sustained multiple stab wounds in
the body while Liezel was stabbed in the chest.

The suspect was identified as Michael Mission y Logronio.

A police report disclosed that Valtazar was urinating in front of the ricefield outside their house around 8 p.m. when Mission appeared and stabbed him from behind. Liezel went in the middle and tried to stop Valtaza but she too was stabbed in the chest.

Mission escaped after the incident while the victims were rushed to the hospital. — Dan Toribio Jr.
