HPG conducts tree planting PDF Print E-mail

The Highway Patrol Group 9 conducted last Monday a tree planting activity in compliance with Letter of Instruction No. 42109 issued by Philippine National Police Chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome  for the PNP environment program called Pulis Makakalikasan 10 Milyong Puno Pamana sa Kinabukasan.
The program is pursuant to Executive Order No. 26  that formulated the National Greening Program.

Zamboanga del Sur HPG Provincial Unit Chief Sr. Insp.  Dexter Diones reported to HPG Regional  Chief  Sr. Supt. Romeo R. Uy that they conducted the tree planting with the  Zamboanga del Sur Highway Patrol Group  Auxiliary  along the highway in the province and Mangrove propagules along the coastlines of Tukuran municipality. The HPG men also unloaded used tires beneath the sea off Tukuran for them to serve as artificial reefs for fish sanctuary.

Zamboanga Sibugay HPG Provincial Chief  SPO4 Nestor Bandigan also led his men and the HPG Auxiliary Group in tree  planting along the highway in Sibugay.

Lamitan City, Basilan  HPG Sub- Provincial Unit Chief  SPO1 Wilfredo Ator  will also conduct tree planting soon within the city. He will be supported by the Provincial Public Safety Company under Supt. Rufino  Inot. The Alpha Phi Omega fraternity also pledged support to the tree planting activities of the  Philippine National Police. --Allen  Abastillas
