LTO’s revenue collection in 2011 higher than in 2010 PDF Print E-mail

The Land Transportation Office-9 has registered an increase in revenue collection in year 2011 as compared to 2010.

LTO Regional Director Aminola P. Abaton disclosed that actual revenue collection in 2011 totalled P 302,509,264.33 as compared to only  P269,516,552.55 in 2010 or a variance or difference of P 33,012,711.78.

LTO records showed that the acquisition of motorvehicles by people, institutions, businesses  and government offices increased in 2011.

LTO registration of motorvehicles in 2011 totalled 376,453 compared to 321,446 in 2010With a difference or variance of  55,007 transactions.
In the issuance of licenses,  his office transacted 170,153 in 2011 compared to only 166,059 in 2010.

In the enforcement of the Traffic Code of the Philippines and other traffic laws, LTO recorded 16,460 cases in 2011 compared 16,088 in 2010 or with a variance of  372 cases.

Meanwhile, Abaton  will preside the First Quarter  Senior Transportation  Regulation Officers conference in Pagadian City on  February 16, 2012. The guest of honor will be LTO UnderSecretary Virginia Torres. — Allen Abastillas
