Burglars broke into a PCSO lotto outlet and stole a battery and an ATM card in Bagsakan Center, Sta. Cruz last Tuesday night.

Jayhan Orcales, outlet teller, told the police that she was about to open the outlet around 8 a.m. when she noticed the chain lock of the gate leading to the main door open.

Orcales said she then entered the outlet where she saw the main door of the outlet destroyed.

During investigation carried out by men of the Sta. Maria police station and personnel of the Scene of the Crime Operatives, it was found out that the lotto machine and P32,000 in cash earnings of Tuesday was intact.

Further investigation showed that a battery worth P2,500 and an ATM card were missing.

SOCO lifted some fingerprints at the robbery site for possible identification of the suspects.

Delia Dolores, franchise owner, said that for more than 20 years, the lotto outlet has been existing without robbery incident until last Tuesday. — Dan Toribio Jr.
