Fishermen at Sitio Caragasan, Maasin found the  body of a man floating along the shore yesterday morning.

The dead man was  believed to have been executed by unidentified killers and his body was dumped into the sea.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound in the head and body. He was hogtied and wrapped with canvas.

Residents said the victim was not from Caragasan as no one could identify him.

The dead man was described as wearing long pants, black t-shirt, and jacket, carrying a black bag, 30 to 40 years in age, medium built, with fair complexion and estimated as 5’2 to 5’4 in height.

Recovered from his possession was P120 and a pack of cigarettes.

Police could not tell if it was case of summary execution or “salvage” but they theorized that the victim was seized elsewhere, was  killed and the body thrown into the sea.

Investigators of the Sinunuc police station are still working on the case. — Dan Toribio Jr.
