BoC Zambo office awarded for good revenue collection PDF Print E-mail

The Bureau of Customs Zamboanga City District Office under Collector Abubakar M. Hamad  was awarded with plaque of appreciation during the 110th anniversary celebration of the bureau last February 6.

The celebration was held at the BoC central office Manila with the theme “Tapat at Mahusay na Aduana: Tugon sa Hinahangad na Kaunlaran”.

The award was given to the BoC Zamboanga City District Office after it surpassed  its revenue collection target in 2011.

The district collected P55,192,428.48 in 2011 as compared to its target of P 41,500,000, or a variance or difference of P 13,692,428.48.  In 2010, the district office collected only P21,629,600.

Hamad thanked President Noynoy Aquino and Customs Commissioner Raffy Biazon for the award.

During the anniversary celebration,  five other district offices  were awarded for surpassing their revenue collection for the year 2011. They are: Region V in  Legaspi City,  Region VII in Cebu City, Region XII in  Davao City, Region XIV Clark in Pampanga City and Region 16 Limay with OCOM.

The  Bureau of Customs has 16 district offices nationwide. The BoC district offices without award are Region I San Fernando City, II-A Port of Manila, II-B Manila International Container Port, III Ninoy Aquino International Airport, IV Batangas, VI  Iloilo City, VIII Tacloban City, IX Surigao City, X Cagayan de Oro City, XIII Subic Angeles City and  XV Aparri.

Overall, thje bureau collected266.740 billion in 2011 compared only  P 259.240 billion in 2010 or with a variance or difference of P 7.500 billion. — Allen Abastillas
