Houseowner killed; wife, son hurt by burglars PDF Print E-mail

Burglars broke into  a house, killed a 36-year-old man and seriously wounded his wife and son before running away with P100, 000 in cash in Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Police identified the fatality as Giovanni Lipapa, 35 . He succumbed to multiple gun and stab wounds in the different parts of the body.

Wounded was Monalisa and her 14 year-old son Joemarie . Both suffered hack wounds.

Police said the Lipapa family were sleeping inside their house when burglars who were later identified as Junrey and Noel Bulayog, broke in.

Giovanni reportedly sensed the presence of the two intruders who stabbed and shot him to death.

Not contented, the two brothers turned attacker Giovanni’s wife and son with bolo.

The intruders fled bringing the money and some valuble items. 

Helpful residents rushed the wounded family to the hospital where Giovanni was declared declared dead on arrival.

The suspects  remained at large as of press time while manhunt operation was still ongoing. — Noning R. Antonio
