Technical Educational Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Director General, Joel Villanueva recently hailed House Deputy Speaker for Mindanao and District I Congresswoman Beng Climaco for her support in extending vocational training skills in her district via TESDA programs.

“The P3 million our honorable congresswoman from Zamboanga allocated from her PDAF will surely go a long way in empowering our kababayans to fulfill their goals”, Villanueva said stressing “we are happy that Cong. Climaco has chosen TESDA to be the partner in helping more Filipinos fight poverty.  This has always been the goal of TESDA,”.

Secretary Villanueva calls on other solons to do the same, saying that having a skilled and financially empowered citizenry will make a significant impact on the country’s economy.

He pointed out that many of those trained through TESDA have become successful businessmen, and some found great work opportunities here and abroad. “We have proven that TESDA programs are effective in giving our kababayans the choice to be competitive and successful in their chosen field”.

“We would like to convey our appreciation to President Aquino and other government officials for their support to TESDA and all its programs,” he said.
