A Philippine Air Force enlistedman was shot dead by one of four gunmen along Estrada St., Tetuan last Sunday night.

Police identified the fatality as A2C Brian Guerrero y Madariaga, a native of Davao City. He sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and was declared dead on arrival at the Zamboanga City Medical Center.

A police report disclosed that Guerrero was riding on a motorcycle on his way to buy diapers at a nearby store coming from the house of his live-in-partner Zhejan Buclao y Mohammad around 9 p.m. when the gun attack took place.

Police said when Guerrero arrived at Estrada St., one of four men waiting for him opened fire using a .45 caliber pistol.
The gunmen escaped after the incident aboard a tricycle.

Helpful residents rushed Guerrero to the hospital and later reported the shooting to the police.

Police were looking into some angles on why the PAF soldier was killed and investigators do not discount the possibility that it was a case of love triangle. — Dan Toribio Jr.
