The Zamboanga Industrial Finance Corporation (ZIFC), the city’s first financing company, is celebrating 50 years of continuous service this year. The firm was founded in February 1962 through a collaboration between Ambassador Alfonso Yuchengco, Jr, founder of the Yuchengco Group of Companies and local businessmen led by the late Dr. Daniel Evangelista.

It has engaged in the general financing and investment business including extending of credit facilities for commercial and industrial projects. It is now an established provider of financing needs to Small and Medium Enterprises and individual retail customers.

As a financing company, ZIFC has been instrumental in the development and success of local businesses. Many of Zamboanga’s thriving businesses have in one way or another benefitted from the services of the firm through financing and credit. ZIFC has also provided for the financing needs of many individuals like education costs, start up costs for employment here and abroad and other personal needs.

With increased competition from other finance and lending firms in Zamboanga in the past years, current General Manager Christian Evangelista has this to say about their longevity: “prudent risk management and service to customers are keys in  sustaining a business concern. We pride ourselves in the special relationship with and loyalty of our clients”.

ZIFC is located at the 2nd Floor, Martha Bidg., Pilar St. Telephone numbers 9914595 and 9915397. They currently offer all types of business and personal loans including Real Estate Mortgage loans. Chattel Mortgage Loans, Salary and Pensioner’s loans.
