Zamboanga City High School  held a simple Junior- Senior Promenade on February 17, 2012 at the Vitaliano D. Agan Coliseum where around 4,000 juniors and seniors attended. 

Dr. Thelma Directo, Education Specialist-1 for Science, representing Mr. Pedro Melchor M. Natividad, Schools Division Superintendent,  inspired the students with her message on the theme “Regenerating Social Values for Personality Development.” 

Meanwhile, ZCHS school principal -IV Dr.  Felisa I. Munar encouraged the students to be in their best behavior anywhere and anytime whether or not they are supervised. 

She stressed that although there are no adults around, they should still do what is proper because their actions now will determine their future. 

Highlighting the affair was the traditional cotillion dance commonly known as the waltz dance,  which was  performed by selected juniors and seniors. it was mixed with other social and fad dances to make it more appealing   and  to the students.

In the meantime, the students also witnessed the turning over of responsibility and the bequeathal of talents from the Seniors to the Juniors.

In an interview, the principal emphasized that the highly successful affair was  conducted with very minimal fee collected from the students, in keeping with DepEd orders and in consideration of  the economic crisis.
