2 men shot dead in separate gun attacks PDF Print E-mail

Two men were killed in separate gun attacks in Baliwasan and in Sacol Island last Monday and Sunday.

Killed were Benjamin Basa Alih, 29, married, an RTW clothes  vendor and a resident of Teresita Drive, San Roque and Hadji Daud Awali, married, of Barangay Pasilmanta, Sacol Island.

A police report disclosed that Alih was riding on a jeepney bound for Southcom Village, Upper Calarian around 6 p.m. Monday, when  two men wearing full-face helmets aboard an XRM motorcycle overtook him and the backrider shot him in the nape. at Baliwasan Tabuk,

The gunmen sped away after the incident while Alih was rushed to the hospital by the jeepney driver. He was declared dead on arrival.
Recovered in the jeepney was a deformed slug of .45 caliber pistol.

Awali was shot to death by Sami Jumaani and Sahiddin Jumaani around 4 p.m. last Sunday.

Police said that Awali was pasturing his bull when the two Jumaanis appeared and shot him several times. He sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body and died on the spot.
