A third year high school student was shot and wounded by one of two suspected motorcycle thieves who later tried to seize his motorcycle in Baliwasan last Monday night.

The victim was identified as Al Kahsar Sangka y Asari, 17, a student of Claret High school and a resident of Lorenzo Drive, Canelar.

Police said that Sangka was driving a Suzuki Smash motorcycle with Erickson Landih backrider, when two men riding tandem on an XRM motorcycle blocked their path at Emerald St. at Johnston Subdivision, .

The backrider shot Sangka in the left leg. He fell from the motorcycle with a bullet wound.

When Sangka and Landih were thrown away from the motorcycle, the gunman tried to drive their motorcycle but failed because the engine would not start.
The gunman boarded again their get-away motorcycle driven by his cohort then sped away from the scene.

Meanwhile, an overseas seaman was shot and wounded by a gunman at a beer house along Gov. Camins Avenue at yesterday.

Randy Rabadan sustained a bullet wound in the left leg.

Rabadan and five companions were drinking at a beer house around 4 a.m. when they figured in a heated argument with another group

Amid the argument, one of the men pulled a handgun and shot Rabadan in the left leg.
