Two buyers of stolen motorcycles nabbed PDF Print E-mail

Two alleged notorious buyer-financiers of motorcycle thieves were arrested in an entrapment operation along Pilar St. yesterday morning.

Arrested were Mikdar Mandanan, 25, of Sangali and Sakur Adjaraji, 29, of Sta. Catalina. They were arrested by operatives of the Ipil Municipal Police Station.

A police report disclosed that the suspects were nabbed inside a Satti restaurant at past 6 a.m.
Initial investigation showed that a motorcyclist was shot dead by thieves in Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay a week ago. The killers took his motorcycle.

Police mounted a follow-up operation that resulted in the arrest of one of the suspects.

During investigation, the arrestedsuspect told the police that they were selling stolen motorcycles to Mandanan and Sakur in Zamboanga City.

Using the cell phone of the arrested suspect, policemen contacted Mandanan and Sakur and pretended as motorcycle thief. They told Mandanan and Sakur they have stolen motorcycle to for sale.

Thinking that it was their cohort who texted them,  Mandanan and Sakur agreed to meet them in a Satti restaurant along Pilar St. yesterday. They were arrested afterwards..

It was learned that Mandanan tried to resist but he was overpowered.


Policemen recovered from their possession a motorcycle and several Land Transportation Office stickers for motor vehicles for the year 2012.

Mandanan told the police that it was a certain Gammar from LTO Zamboanga City  who was selling them stickers at P80 each. They also sell it at P100.
Police said that Mandanan and Sakur are allegedly notorious buyers of stolen motorcycles in the entire region.
