“Boga”, a crude firearm using gas to fire its marble bullet, is fast becoming a weapon of choice and notorious among young hoodlums in barangays.
The latest fatality of “boga” is Robin Paelmariano y Isnani, an eight -year-old boy of Zone 1, Bunguiao.

Paelmariano sustained a fatal wound in the chest and was taken to the Cristino Paragas Memorial Hospital in Curuan where he was declared dead on arrival.

A police report disclosed that Paelmariano was playing with brother Mark, 6, and sister Jovelyn inside their house around 12 noon when an unidentified man armed with “boga” appeared and shot him in the chest.

The triggerman hurriedly left the place and could not beidentified by the victim’s kin.

Men from the Curuan police station under Chief Insp. Ricardo Garcia have been trying determine the identity of the killer arrest him.

City Police Director Sr. Supt. Edwin De Ocampo said that appropriate charges will be filed in court against the killer as soon his identity will be known.
