Fashionable women’s work wear brand Plains & Prints recently welcomed the highly-anticipated summer season with an exclusive media preview of its coveted Spring/Summer 2012 Collection at White Moon Bar, Hotel H2O.

Guests were treated to a luxurious summer sunset experience overlooking the bay complete with cocktails, as they witnessed the unveiling of the brand’s newest anthology.

The event also featured Plains & Prints muse and international style icon and personality Paula Taylor, who was present to talk about her shared fashion philosophies with the brand, as well has the recent changes in her life.

Plains & Prints Spring/Summer 2012 offering the creative fashion influences of premier Filipino designer Rhett Eala, who collaborated with the brand for this particular season.

“Plains & Prints is dedicated to creating versatile pieces that are stylish, fashionable, yet still wearable and appropriate for working women,” said founder and owner Roxanne Farillas. “We like to consistently inject a fresh, new spin into these while staying true to the brand’s fashion aesthetic. And I think Rhett has achieved that with a repertoire that features pieces the Plains& Prints wearer will definitely love to don for the season.”

The highlight of the line-up, Santorini, contained an amalgamation of fluid knee-length dresses, wide-legged pants, printed tees, and rompers decked in solid hues and watercolor and abstract prints that magnificently combined the colors of the sea and the sunset-teal, pistachio, hunter green, sky blue and azure.

Also showcased were the brand’s upcoming key looks for Spring/Summer 2012. Laser cut boasted modern, perfectly tailored pieces that combine dainty floral accents with color-blocked outfits; white Vintage Coral brought back retro glam fashion with 70s inspired selections.

Preppy Paris offered a subdued interpretation of youthful Parisian dressing with a preppy twist, with crisp and structured fabrics in fun colors of green, navy, orange, chambray, and white. Water, meanwhile, was a welcome combination of prints and patterns, from abstract watercolor paints to story prints, resulting in romantic and feminine pieces with a light and airy feel.

Monotone frocks in brighter-then-ever hues of blue, green, orange, yellow and pink in flattering cuts and silhouettes for various body types were the key highlights of Bright Summer Dresses; and Neon Wave gave the popular punk-rock style of the 80’s a resort-ready spin with sci-fi and pared – backs shapes in neon colors, pristine white, and galactic silver.

Athletic Couture upped sportswear, using mesh and tulle to create modernist shapes and highlight new looks and silhouettes; while 50’s Flare revisited the hourglass silhouettes characteristic of the decade that inspired it, while also incorporating playful patterns and quirky prints. Finally, Fairy Tale exuded the dreamy combinations of fantasy and nature with blushing fabrics in elegantly feminine silhouettes, accentuated with enchanting details that reference the magical allure of fairies, wood nymphs and more.

“The entire collections carries the distinct Plains & Prints style, but with a hint of adventure and a chic laid -back vibe that Spring/Summer dressing calls for,” Eala explained. “The cuts are relaxed, either falling away from or skimming the body. The lighter color palette and playful  prints give a nod to the sun-kissed, carefree days of this favorite fashion season.”

With Spring/Summer collection available at the stores beginning February 10 Plains & Prints promises its fashionable followers a stylish, on trend wardrobe for the season.
