A notorious motorcycle thief was killed after the motorcycle he stole bumped a truck while fleeing away along Veterans avenue at dawn              yesterday.

Killed was Radzlan Kasim, with no permanent address. He sustained skull fractures and died on the spot.
PO3 Gerry Tarroza, Traffic Investigator said that Kasim bumped a prime mover truck driven by Elpidio Gomez along Veterans Avenue near the junction with Rodriguez St.

Tarroza found out that the Suzuki Easy driven by Kasim belongs to Arnold Rojas, a habal-habal driver of Barangay Kapisan.

Initial investigation showed that Rojas was waiting for passengers along Malagutay road when he fell asleep in a store while his motorcycle was parked near him.

Rojas said when he woke up he was surprised to see his motorcycle missing.

Immediately Rojas sought the assistance of his relatives. They searched for his motorcycle until they ended up in Pasonanca where they spotted Kasim driving his Suzuki Easy. They chased Kasim but lost him as was driving very fast.

Kasim emerged along Veterans Avenue near the junction with Rodriguez St. where he bumped the truck driven by Gomez.

Police said that Kasim’s brain was scattered after his skull was broken due to the strong impact.

Police said that Gomez was on the right way when the accident took place.

Tarroza recovered several papers inside the wallet of Kasim but it showed that the documents do not belong to him as indicated by the names written on it.
