Mrs. Villar lauds Rep. Fabian for Zambolympics PDF Print E-mail

Former Las Piñas Congresswoman Cynthia Villar yesterday lauded District 2 Congressman Erbie A. Fabian for sponsoring Zambolympics, the biggest summer athletic competition in Zamboanga City, and other sports events in Zamboanga City.

Speaking as a guest of honor during the opening program of Zambolympics at the Enriquez Sports Complex in Baliwasan, Villar said that this annual sports program is very important for the youth.

“The players will learn teamwork, excellence, sportmanship and camaraderie. It will stir the youth into good values and discipline. They can use it as a weapon for progress and  prosperity and be a successful persons in the future,” Mrs. Villar said.

She said that in sports, it is not the winning or losing but the respect and honor.

Rep. Fabian thanked Villar for finding time to grace Zambolympics.

Villar said she has been to Zamboanga City many times and “I love this place.”

Contrary to news reports in Manila, Zamboanga is peaceful and quiet,said the wife of Senator Manny Villar.      

Other guests of Zambolympics are Mayor Celso Lobregat and  Congressman Ted Haresco of Kasangga oarty list .

The  entrance of the Zambolympics torch and lightning of the urn of peace and unity was done by Marvin Mabait,  Philippine Super Flyweight Champion 2012 under Blue Stallion Stable of Rep. Fabian. — Allen Abastillas
