The Nacionalista Party (NP) respects the decision of their party mates in the city and provincial levels and that “whatever decision to be made at the local level should come from them.”

This was emphasized by former Las Piñas City Congresswoman Cynthia Villar yesterday when asked what plans the NP has for second district Congressman Erico Basilio Fabian, who is in his last term of office.

Villar’s husband, Senator Manuel Villar is the national NP chairman while Fabian is the local head of the party.

“They are given a free hand to decide,” Villar told newsmen in a press conference. “The party (NP) is supportive of its members.”

Fabian stressed that he will remain in the political front line once Villar will seek for a national elective position like senator in 2013 mid-term elections.
Earlier, Fabian said he is seriously contemplating on leaving politics and devote his time to his personal and family life.

However, Fabian deviated from making categorical statement about his political plans except in saying “let’s just wait and see and we will cross the bridge when we reach there.”

Villar was here Sunday as the guest speaker opening ceremony of this year’s Zambolympics.
