Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) OIC Governor Mujiv Hataman continues to visit the different provinces in the regin and meet local officials with the prime aim to put in place the different changes in local governance that would ensure the improvement and development of  areas which have been left behind by the previous administrations.

For the past few days, Hataman has hopping around the different towns in Basilan, trying to find solutions to problems in peace and order that seriously affect the economy and daily activities of Basileños.

In fasttracking development of the provinces under ARMM, Hataman has designated two deputies —  Louie Alano is tasked to look after the needs of the Christian community and Yusof Jikiri for the Muslim community.

During his stay in Zamboanga and Basilan, Hataman instructed his deputies to report to him all their inputs and recommendations for him to prepare the action plan.

From the time he assumed office as ARMM OIC governor, Hataman has emphasized his concern on the peace and order problem in the entire region.
In several occasions, Hataman stressed his desire to dismantle the private armies who are being used by many politicians to protect their personal and vested interest.

After Basilan, Hataman is scheduled to continue his dialogue with local officials in Cotabato City, then to be followed by a visit in Sulu and Tawi-Tawi then back to Lamitan, Basilan in time for the ARMM Athletic Association meet in April 7 to 12, 2012. — Jimmy Villaflores
