A man was killed while three others were injured after their two motorcycles were rammed by a truck along Lobregat Highway in Cabaluay last Sunday morning.

Killed was Romeo Ocampo y Castillo of Don Toribio St., Tetuan. Injured were Bernardino Concepcion and his motorcycle backriders identified as Jovenard Concepcion, 7, and Rose Gantala Garcia, 19.

A police report disclosed that Ocampo’s motorcycle was heading downtown while Concepcion on another motorcycle with two backriders was also travelling on the same direction when a mini dump truck with plate number YJX 270 driven by Cesar Torres y Angeles, 34, and travelling on opposite direction encroached their lane near the Cabaluay Elementary school,

Police said the truck rammed the two motorcycles causing the crash and killing Ocampo.

Police said that Ocampo sustained serious fractures in the body and died on the spot.

Conception and his backriders sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital.

All vehicles involved in the mishap were impounded while Torres was placed under police custody. — Dan Toribio Jr.
