The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has advised applicants for clearances to wear the proper attire, particularly T-Shirts or Polo and must be  with collar for the regular photograph or picture taking for the clearances.

Applicants for clearances are required to have their photographs taken that are then attached to their clearances when approved by the NBI regional office located near the local post office and local port.

NBI regional director Atty. Manuel Almendares said              photographs were required to properly identify the person named in clearances.
Applicants are photographed right at the counter where they line up to confirm their applications for the documents.

The central office does not allow anybody to be photographed with shirts or polo without the proper collar and so the regional office must comply with this requirement, he said.

“I advise our applicants for the said clearances to please wear the proper attire,” he said.

The NBI regional office in this city also services applications from the island provinces of Basilan, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.

Applicants also come from the various inland provinces of Zambaonga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay and the cities of Dapitan, Dipolog, Pagadian and the cities of Zamboanga and nearby Isabela in Basilan.

Clearances are needed for employment, civil services examinations and other documentation required by the government.
