A 42-year-old man and a construction worker were shot and wounded in two separate incidents in Recodo and in Divisoria last Wednesday and Tuesday night.

Wounded were Ramil Sarao y Igoy, alias Long Hair, 4, Purok 7, Recodo, and Arnold Bariwa, 27,  of Divisoria.

Police said that Sarao and his live-in-partner Cecil Mayola, 34, were about to take a bath outside their house around 7 p.m. last Wednesday night when a gunman appeared and shot him.

The gunman fled after shooting Sarao. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Policemen recovered an improvised gun called Boga, drug paraphernalia, believed to be owned by the victim and four spent shells at the scene
Men of the Ayala police station were still investigating the case.

Bariwa, 27,and his family were sleeping inside their house at past 8 p.m. when a gunman appeared and shot him. He sustained multiple bullet wounds in the body.  

The gunman disappeared after shooting Bariwa, who was later rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Divisoria police station investigators were still working on the case.

Meanwhile, Hawalan Maldan y Labordo, of Tetuan was arrested by men of the Tetuan Police station on the strength of a warrant for violation of Section 10 (a) in relation to Section 3 of Republic Act 7610 under a case number 26488.

The warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Peter Eisma of the Regional Trial Court Branch 15 with P8,000 recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty. — Dan Toribio Jr.
