The constituents of Barangay Pamucutan in the west coast have expressed all out gratitude to District I Representative Beng Climaco for the flood control project the latter implemented in the barangay in line with her continuous efforts to help bring about development and progress in the villages.

Speaking on behalf of his constituents, Pamucutan barangay chairman Romeo D.S. Serna said the P1 million flood control project that the lady solon turned over recently in addition to the previous structures implemented in the barangay will have tremendous impact on the lives of the residents.

Cong. Climaco, who sits as the House Deputy Speaker for Mindanao recently trekked to Pamucutan to turn over the flood control project which forms part of the projects identified by the barangay officials during consultations done in the area.

Aside from the P1 million flood control project, the congresswoman also inaugurated the P5 million farm to market road in the same barangay that was made possible by the Department of Agriculture.

“We empower our barangays with the provision of these needs because we believe that these will uplift their lives. I look forward to more completed projects in the 1st district awaiting to be turned over to the barangay officials,” the congresswoman said.

In both project turnover events,  present were officials from the barangay, Department of Public Works and Highways, Department of Agriculture and District I congressional office staff.

The lady solon is expected to unveil more projects in the different barangays under District I in the days to come. All these efforts, she said are intended to augment the efforts of the local government unit and ultimately aimed to improve the lot of the constituents. — Marvin Segura
