UZ, Eustaquio family: Let’s make a stand against killings, violence PDF Print E-mail

The Universidad de Zamboanga and the Eustaquio family are scheduled to pay tribute today, April 10 at Summit Centre in Tetuan to the late UZ President Arturo F. Eustaquio III who was gunned down by unknown assailants few meters from his residence in Sta. Maria last April 1.

An advisory issued yesterday by UZ and the Eustaquio family called on all Zamboanga City residents and stakeholders to make a stand against killings and violence.

Today’s event starts with a holy mass at 9:00 a.m. It is to be followed by the presidential tribute at 10 a.m. and a statement of the Eustaquio family on the killing of the UZ president at 11 a.m.

The advisory stated that the Eustaquio family along with other agency leaders will break their silence to officially convey their insight on the killing of Arturo F. Eustaquio III.

“We call on the city leaders, authorities, academe officials, educators, community leaders, youth organizations, civic groups, media and all concerned citizens of Zamboanga City to join us on this affair, as we expressed our challenge to let the TRUTH AND JUSTICE prevail on the death of our beloved President,” said the advisory.

According to the advisory, people from different walks of life have confirmed their presence and participation in the said event to express their support to this cause.

“Universidad de Zamboanga and the Eustaquio family seek for your support as an organization and as individuals who are sincerely determined to keep Zamboanga City safe. Together, we make a stand against all killings and violence!” said the advisory.
