Officers, men of Tigbao PNP station to under refresher course PDF Print E-mail

All the police officers and personnel of the Tigbao Police Station in Zamboanga del  Sur  will undergo refresher course after they were relieved from their posts in the wake of the raid staged in the station by New People’s Army guerrillas last Monday night.

The communist guerrillas fled with seven M16 rifles, one M14 rifle, and a 9mm pistol. They also abducted PO2  Faisal Juhali to be used as human shield in their escape.

The Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Director  Sr. Supt. Jose Gucela was also relieved from his post due to the raid.

Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt.  Napoleon  R. Estilles disclosed that the officers and personnel of Tigbao police station will indergo a refresher course at the Regional Training School Unit 9 at Camp Abenedan in Mercedes, this city.

Estilles said that last Tuesday morning he joined PNP Chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome and Directorate for Personnel and Records Management Director  Elpidio Z. De Asis Jr. and other Camp Crame top officials in flying to Zamboanga del Sur to inspect the Tigbao police station.

“The Chief PNP went to personally look into the incident and to determine whether there are any lapses in security in the locality,” Estilles said..

He added that the officer-in-charge of the Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office now is Sr. Supt.  William Mansan.  Sr. Supt. Ramon M. Ochotorena was designated officer-in-charge of the Zamboanga del Norte Police Provincial Office after the retirement of Sr. Supt. Ulpanio Lopez  last March 24,2012. — Allen Abastillas
