Lobregat, Fabian inaugurate ZCWD booster station project PDF Print E-mail

Mayor Celso Lobregat  and District 2  Congressman Erbie A. Fabian led officials in the blessing and groundbreaking of the Zamboanga City Water District Talon-Talon Booster Station at Orchid Drive, Morning Breeze, Barangay Tugbungan.

The booster station has a 1,000 cubic meters capacity. The project has a concrete ground reservoir, control/operator chlorine room, standby generator set  with shed, concrete fence, drainage system, concrete driveway, septic vault, distribution pipelines and three phase power supply.

It cost P 25.7 million including the acquisition of the land with an area of 1,022 square meters. It will be constructed for 160 calendar days by the NLV Construction.

The booster station will boost  the water supply ib Barangays Tugbungan, Talon-Talon, Mampang and Arena Blanco.

ZCWD officials thanked Mayor Lobregat for being a consistent partner of the water utility firm and always supporting its projects.

In his message, Lobregat urged water consumers to pay their bills on time so that it can sustain the maintenance of the system and the project will continue and be successful.

Rep. Fabian also urged all the officials of the city and the  consumers to take good care of  the project so that it  will be more successful in providing potable water to the people.

“Lets stay united and help each other so that the city will move on,” Fabian said.

Councilor Benjamin “ Nonong” Guingona has commended ZCWD for the new project because it will make life easier for consumer to get a service of a potable water. For many  years the people of Mampang, Arena Blanco and Talo-Talon has experiences difficulties to get the service of potable water for their basic needs”, Guingona pointed-out’. --Allen Abastillas
