Tree planting held in observance of ‘Earth Day’ in Lamitan PDF Print E-mail

A tree planting activity was held yesterday morning in Barangay Luksumbang, Lamitan City in observance of “Earth Day”. It was  participated by all stakeholders for peace and development.

Highway Patrol Group Lamitan City Chief SPO1 Wilfredo Ator disclosed  those who joined the tree planting  were officials and employees of local government units, officers and personnel of Lamitan City Police Station, Philippine Navy Seabees, men and women of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao  Provincial Office,  Philippine National Police Special Action Forces, Office of the Civil Defense, Luksumbang barangay officials and students of Furigay  College Inc.

Ator said the tree planting activity was also a reminded to the people that “we should take good care of earth and plant more trees for the preservation and protection of the environment for the future generation.” —  Allen Abastillas
