The Brent Hospital and Colleges Inc. yesterday formally  opened its Breast Care Center along R.T Lim Boulevard.
The center is now open from Monday to Friday from 8 a.m to 4 p.m.

In a press conference,  Dr. Alex E. Cerillo cited a medical study and research stating that the causes of breast cancer among women are over stressed, too much intake of alcohol, seldom or no eating of fruits and vegetables.

”Women should love life and have a regular mammogram (checkup),” Cerillo advised.

Dr. Rhodora LO. Rivera appealed to women to have a regular mammogram check-up for an early detection and prevention of breast cancer.

Rivera said that women should not be shy to come to their clinic for check-up because doctors and nurses are women.

During the launching of the Breast Care Center, 25 slots for women were alloted for free mammogram check-up.

The center will have a free regular mammogram checkup that will be funded by a non-government organization.

The center’s Director is Norma Pada, Assistant Nurse is Blesilda F. Toralba and Chief Nurse is Melanie A. Tilde. — Allen Abastillas
