Retired Police Director Lucas Managuelod, vice chairman of the Public Safety Savings and  Loan Association Inc., (PSSLAI) revealed that the E-Blotter that was launched last Monday in Camp Abelon, Pagadian City is not only the first in Mindanao, but in the entire country.

Police Regional Office 9 Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles thanked Managuelod and other PSSLAI top officials for donating to the Police Regional Office-9 85 computers for the E-Blotter and the launching of its operations for the whole region.

Regional Logistic Officer Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo said the distribution of the 85 computers for the E-Blotter are: 28 for all the 28 municipalities in Zamboanga del Sur, 16 for the Zamboanga Sibugay municipalities,  28 for Zamboanga del Norte, five for the Regional  Intelligence Detective Management Division, one for Isabela City and the rest for Zamboanga City.

Estilles directed Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office OIC Sr. Supt. William Manzan to prioritize the municipality of Tigbao Police Station for the
establishment of the E-Blotter because of its sensitive location.

Currently, officers and police personnel of the Tigbao police station are undergoing a 45-day refresher course at the 9th  Regional Special Training Unit in Camp Abendan as a result of the attacked staged by NPA rebels in that station.

After the refresher course, the officers and personnel will be re-assigned to other police stations or depending on their status.

At present, the Tigbao Police Station is manned by troopers of the Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Public Safety Company under the supervision of Supt. Diomarie Albarico. — Allen Abastillas
