‘Class A’ police station soon to rise in Tungawan PDF Print E-mail

A Class A police station will rise soon in the municipality of Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay this month.

Police Regional Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles thanked the local leaders of Tungawan for the donation of  a parcel of lot where the Class A Police Station will be constructed.

“It is very beautiful building uniform with other police stations constructed in the different municipalities in the region.  This Class A building is the show window of the Philippine National Police in the maintenance of peace and order in partnership with local government units and the populace,” Estilles said.

Regional Logisitic Officer Sr. Supt. Edwin Deocampo disclosed that the construction of a Class A building is usually completed within a 90-day period or depending on the release of funds.

The PNP has a counterpart seed of money from the LGU for the construction of the police station building.

Meanwhile, Estilles directed all city, provincial and municipal  police commanders to adopt security measures and marshall plans as the school opening is fast approaching.

In his letter of instruction to the commanders, Estilles directed them to establish police assistant centers in the different terminals, ports and wharves to assist passengers in their destination, to conduct roving patrol and police visibility, assist in traffic management  in the different universities, colleges and other schools in the region.

On the other hand, Estilles said the bomb explosion in Baliwasan Tabuk is an isolated case.       Investigators are still digging deeper into  the blast. — Allen Abastillas
