A construction worker was shot and wounded by a habal-habal driver at Zone 1, Calle San Pedro, Ayala last Sunday night.

Wounded was Joel Medina y Cabeltes, 44, married. He was shot by Badar Yusop y Parilla, 39.

Initial investigation disclosed that Medina was drunk and was challenging Yusop to a fight. They engaged in a fistfight and later left the place.

Police said that Medina armed himself with a bolo while Yusop took a .38 caliber revolver then went out of their house. Yusop shot Medina twice hitting him in the forehead and back of the body.

Yusop escaped after the incident, while Medina was rushed to the hospital.

Police recovered Medina’s bolo at the crime scene.

A manhunt operation was launched by men of the Ayala police station against Yusop. – Dan Toribio Jr.
