District 2 Congressman Erbie A. Fabian graced the opening of the 2nd  FAI Cup, a golf tournament at the Zamboanga Golf  and Country Club in Upper Calarian.

The one-day tourney was participated by 52 Zamboanga City golfers, who were divided into 26 teams.

Isaac Elumba, Class A player,  who was the highest  top individual scorer during the 1st Gov.  Eric Laviña Cup golf tournament sponsored by the Perlas Tee Golf Foundation last April 21-22 was paired with Atty. Quirino “Jun” Esguerra, former president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines ZAMBASULTA Chapter, during the tournament. Isaac’s brother, Eldon, another top  scorer was paired with Joseph Dy.

Judge Eric Elumba was present  in total support of his two sons who are promising golfers in the country. Judge Peter Eisma and Judge Gregorio Dela Peña also participated in.

Senior golfers who joined the tournament were Architect Ben Gonzales, Medika owner Lope Iringan and Janggol Chiong. IBP Zambasulta former president Atty. Jun Liong also joined the  tournament.

Engr. Hasiman thanked Fabian for gracing the one-day tournament.

“I’m sponsoring this golf tournament  to promote camaraderie and spirit of sportsmanship for all Zamboanga golfers,” Hasiman said. —  Allen Abastillas
