City Police Office Officer-in-Charge Chief Supt. Mario B.  Yanga has directed Supt. William S. Gadayan, chief of the Zamboanga City Public Safety Company, to continue their operations  against suspected drug pushers at Sitio Bugokok in  Sta. Catalina

Yanga ordered Gadayan to arrest the drug pushers in the area.

Gadayan reported that they have conducted operation against illegal drug and wanted persons at Sitio Bugokok last Friday but the operation was unsuccessful due to the presence of look-outs and it seemed that most people in the area are sympathizers of the suspected drug pushers.

Gadayan said that before they conducted the operation, they had gathered intelligence reports that shabu pushing is rampant in the area.

The area is reportedly also the satellite and hiding place of Margani Samla alias Bin Laden.

According to Yanga, Bin Laden is now hiding in Basilan.

“ Drug pushers must be arrested and be placed behind bars because illegal drugs are a menace to society,” Yanga stressed.

Yanga said he is waiting for Gadayan to submit  a report on the finger wharves at Sitio Bugokok because the construction of the illegal structures require a permit from the City Agriculture Office.

“I will submit the report to Mayor Celso Lobregat for his action to dismantle the illegal structures,” Yanga said. — Allen Abastillas
