The motorcycle of a barangay councilman was discovered missing after the mass oath taking ceremony for barangay officials at the City Coliseum, Tetuan yesterday.

Erlito Hernandez, 50, married, a third-term barangay councilman of Sto. Niño, appeared at the police station to complain that his Honda Wave Alpha was nowhere to be found while he was about to leave the coliseum.

Hernandez, who ranked No. 2 in the Sto. Niño barangay council election recently.  parked his motorcycle outside the coliseum before he joined the mass oath-taking.

After the program, he proceeded to the area where he parked his motorcycle, but was surprised to find out it was not there.

Hernandez reported the incident to the security personnel, but none of them could tell if they saw anyone taking his motorcycle.

Hernandez then rushed to the City Police Office and lodged a formal complaint.

An alarm was flashed to all police units to intercept the stolen motorcycle and arrest the thieves.
