“Serve the  people with utmost respect and courtesy, No matter how they may look tidy or untidy or not good  appearance in coming to your station seeking help or assistance. Give  them a due care smile with THE diligence of a  good father of the family. Do  your best as much as you can for their relief and give solution and answer  to their problem, While entertaining and giving help to people and less fortunate. Do your mission and duties  with extra vigilant and alertness  at all cost that will not hamper or cause your life. Protect and preserve government properties and all your resources in enforcing the law.”

Thus said Police Regional Office-9 Chief of Staff Sr. Supt. Cornelio Barrios during his visitation to the different policestations in Zamboanga Del Sur recently as he in reiteratedthe letter of instruction of Police Regional Office-9 Director Chief Supt. Napoleon R. Estilles

Braving the heavy downpour and ignoring the danger, Sr. Supt. Barrios accompanied by police troopers made successful visits to the different police stations in the municipalities of  Tigbao,Dumalinao, Buug and worst  of all in Bayog which is known as  one of the strong bailiwicks  of communist rebels where PO2 Faisal Juhaidi was released, after his abduction in Tigbao several weeks earlier.

The road going to Bayog municipality is unconcreted  and rough and along the way ambuscade opportunity by the rebels is noticeable. The same road is also prone to landslide. Within the first quarter of this year, two landslides were recorded in Bayog and a third one during the visit of Sr. Supt. Barrios due to heavy downpour.
