Estilles pins medals to 14 cops PDF Print E-mail

Police Regional Office-9 Director Napoleon R. Estilles pinned yesterday Philippine National Police medals to 14 police troopers during the Monday flag raising ceremony in Camp Abendan.

Recipients of the PNP Medalya ng Kagalingan were Insp. Izel D. Maraviles, PO3 Muhmina H. Ahadi, PO2 Sharfina B. Abdula, PO1 Flora Mae I. Pablo and PO1 Mary Grace G. Francisco for exemplary performance of duty as member of the Zamboanga City Police Office who were directed by OIC Chief Supt. Mario Yanga in the rescue of 43 persons believed to be victims of human tracficking and the arrest of the suspected human trafficker recently.

Other recipients of the same medals were SPO2 Kennedy Damsid and PO1 Anthony DV. Memoracion, both members of ZCPO, who recovered two 81mm mortar projectiles improvised explosive device (IED) on May 4, 2012 around 7 p.m. in Barangay Cabatangan. The timely recovery of the IED prevented the loss of lives and destruction of properties.

Recipients of Medalya ng Kasanayan  were Sr. Supt. Cabrera Danao, Supt. Crizaldo M. Castillo, Insp. Luzviminda S. Flores, PO3 Angelo A. Jimenez and PO2 Mark Carlo DC. Estipona who rendered duty in the 9th Regional Criminal Investigation and Detection Group for the arrest of drug syndicate members in Barangay Recodo led by Margani Samla alias Bin Laden (at large) and the discovery of “shabu tiangge”  last April 26, 2012.

Recipient of Medalya ng Papuri was PO1 Romeo N. Pancho Jr. of ZCPO for a commendable performance as traffic enforcer who rendered traffic assistance and services to motorists  rain or shine without regard to his personal safety and health.

Recipient of Medalya ng Papuri were PO1 Leo C. Damsik of PRO9 who brought honor to the command by winning a bronze medal in the 73 kilograms Judo of the Philippine Olympic Committee-Philippine Sports Commission national games held on May 26 to June 3, 2012 in Dumaguete City. — Allen Abastillas
