Basilan man shot dead in Lustre PDF Print E-mail

A native of Basilan was shot to death by a gunman at the junction of Lustre Road and  Sta. Catalina last Sunday afternoon.

Sr. Insp. Arlan Delumpines, Officer-In-Charge of the City Police Office’s Investigation Section, said that the fatality was only known as Mansul.
Delumpines said Mansul sustained a bullet wound in the chest and died on the spot.

He said that Mansul and an unidentified man figured in a fistfight along Lustre Street around 5:45 p.m. Mansul’s opponent drew a .38 caliber revolver prompting him to run away.

The gunman chased Mansul and cornered him at the junction of Sta. Catalina and Lustre Road where he was shot in the chest.
The assailant escaped after the incident.

Delumpines said the body was brought to the Villa Funeral Parlor for post mortem examination.
