Vitali folks are continually grateful to the administration of Mayor Celso Lobregat for the massive and sustained implementation of projects in their barangay that help foster progress and development in the area.

Speaking on behalf of his constituents, Vitali barangay chairman Jose Lito Alavar said the residents are very thankful for the enormous projects being poured in to the barangay by the local administration.

“Nuay mas gayot came cosa pa que ay habla con mayor con el monton de proyecto que ta recivi el barangay”, Alavar said yesterday, as he and his fellow barangay officials and constituents received 4 road concreting projects and one slope protection project worth a total of P10.2 million from Mayor Lobregat, Vice Mayor Cesar Climaco and members of the City Council. “Muchas gracias gayot contigo, Mayor pate con el maga miembro del consejo local bajo con Vice Alcalde Cesar Iturralde!”

The mayor and the vice mayor led city government officials in unveiling the road concreting at Tamion, Vitali worth P994,855 covering 236 linear meters; road concreting at Tindalo, Vitali worth P1.46 million covering 332 square meters; construction of slope protection on bridge approach at Sitio Tagpangi, Vitali worth P1.60 million covering 220 linear meters; concreting of road at Sitio Tagpangi worth P935,665 covering 110.04 linear meters and improvement of farm to market road at Linduman-Pico, Vitali worth P5.2 million covering 1,262.60 linear meters amidst the drizzle yesterday noon.

Just last May 2, Vitali also received the 4x4 pickup truck from the city government during turnover rites for 7 barangays in the east coast held in Vitali.

As he turned over the road concreting projects yesterday, Mayor Lobregat vowed that more projects will be implemented in Vitali.

A few months back, the mayor also unveiled the Vitali Center for the Elderly and various other road concreting projects that connect the different sitios to the main highway.

Ongoing at present is the rehabilitation and improvement of the Vitali Health center and Lying-in clinic, construction of footbridges and numerous other road concreting projects.

Aside from Vice Mayor Iturralde, joining the mayor during the inauguration in Vitali yesterday were Councilors Myra Paz Abubakar, Lilia Nuno, Rudy Lim, Rey Candido, Nonong Guingona, Eddie Saavedra, Abdurahman Nuno, Mike Alavar and VP Ealgo, City Engineer Luis Despalo, mayor’s younger brother Jomar Lobregat, City Hall executive assistants Mario Roca and Caloy Bandaying and other officials. — Sheila Covarrubias
